Adidas’ extensive main campaign is to be expanded with a viral spot, giving the user the opportunity to be part of the German national team.
To be able to integrate "the new one" into the video later on, first of all some typical situations of a training day with "Jogi" Löw, "Hansi" Flick, "Poldi" and others are filmed. These scenes revolve around warming up, jersey and shoe exchange, training, defining a player's position on the field, sitting on the substitutes' bench, joking around with the other players and, of course, kicking the ball. The jerseys, shoes, diagrams and the actor’s face are already prepared for later post-production mapping during the shot, to ultimately make personalization possible.
To take part, the user only has to enter a name and upload a portrait photo in the Flash-application. The finished video may then be sent and shared, complementing the main adidas campaign.
In cooperation with Wonderlandmovies, DDD implements the interface for the Flash application, allowing the transfer of entered names and uploaded images. The Flash application offers the means to adapt the image to the video’s lighting and color scheme directly after the upload and shows all adaptions immediately in real time. The integration of the final image into the video is achieved with server-side 3D-mapping, while the name on the jacket and jersey use grid-mapping.
DDD is responsible for the interface design, which is developed according to a predefined basic interface.
