On behalf of AKQA Paris and Impossible Software, a personalized video should be provided for every participant of the "We Run Paris" 10 km run by Nike. There were six different basic versions of the video, which were played out according to the data material available.
Participants provided their personal data when registering for the 10 km through the centre of Paris. Measured in terms of the runner's performance and available data, the individualization within the video was then automated.
There were the parameters: name, image, time, placement, undercutting of previous best time. For example, if the runner broke his record, this was shown inside the video with the runner's burning feet and a trophy.
Two days after the race, the participants were able to watch their personal video of the race on a results page and different data about the race. A total of around 12,500 videos were created using Impossible Software's rendering cluster.
DDD is responsible for tracking and large parts of the post-production necessary for individualization. The personalization was realized with the help of ImpossibleFX. The web-based software developed by Impossible Software for the individualization of videos.
